Fitness First is present in the following countries: Australia, Bahrain, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kuwait, and Malaysia. It is also present in the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

Majority of its locations are in the United Kingdom, where the company started. There are more than 200,000 members in the said country. In Asia, most of its clubs are situated in high end commercial buildings with the intention of serving mostly office workers.

Fitness First is the company behind the popular International Fitness Week promotion that encourages more people to exercise more regularly. It enlisted the services of former Spice Girl Mel B for the said promotion.

Membership Benefits and Privileges

Membership options and benefits may vary depending on the Fitness First club where it is situated in.

For example, UK Fitness First monthly membership fees may range from £35 to £55, depending on the membership package. If you are to avail of a 12 month membership package, the monthly fees would total to around £35 while a single month membership would cost £55.

Members can also upgrade to a multi-club access, meaning they can work out in multiple clubs. This is a convenient option for many members who travel a lot. The fees may range from £45 to £100 depending on the membership package.

Club membership entitles members to unlimited use of club facilities.  Members also get access to Fitness First classes like Zumba, Body Pump, and Spiningg for free. However, there are some specialty classes which have a small charge.

In Australia, membership options are divided into three— 18 months, 12 months, and 3 months. Fees may vary depending on the membership option. Signing up for a three-month membership would mean paying for around $66 a month but committing to an 18-month membership would lower the fees to $52 every month.

There’s also a Platinum membership option that gives members access to more than 70 clubs across the country. Platinum members can benefit from the longer operating hours of these clubs.

Members can get their money back within their first 14 days of training if they are unhappy with the facilities of the club that they are enrolled in.

Fitness First members in Australia have unlimited access to modern training equipment and facilities for cardio, strength training, Hot Yoga and even training innovations like Kettlebells and Freestyle.

In Singapore, year-long membership would translate to monthly fees of anywhere from $135 to $170 a month. There is also a one-day free pass for interested individuals who want to assess first the facilities of the club before committing to a long-term membership contract. In Singapore, the standard membership contract is 12 months.

Other Privileges for Members

In most countries where it is located, Fitness First has established partnerships with other merchants and companies with the aim of giving their members other privileges aside from access to Fitness Fist Clubs.   As such, Fitness First members get more for their money as they are qualified to discounts on restaurants, hotels, and even savings on their mobile phone bills.

It is also common for most Fitness First members to have the option or privilege to bring a friend to a club free of charge. This is a way for Fitness First to attract potential new members as well.

Fitness First members also can download and install the Fitness First app on their mobile devices, which allows them to do multiple things like finding group exercises and classes, or reserving a bike in their clubs. The app also lets members to use their mobile device and  swipe-in at the club, or get in touch with the club manager or the Fitness First corporate office.  It can also be utilized for booking a personal training appointment and get the latest Fitness First news.
